Have You Tried Ebay Classifieds?

By

Ebay Classifieds is a new site where you can list your items locally and pay no fees. I’ve sold on Craigslist for a long time and I think  Ebay is trying to give Craigslist some competition. I have checked out the site and see a lot of similarities between the two. I am always happy to see a site to sell items on with no fees and the Ebay name should help drive traffic to the listings.

There is a link to click on for Ebay Classifieds right on the main Ebay page. The next page that comes up asks you for a zip code or town and it will give you the closest areas to you and you need to pick the one you want. Once you get to the next page you can always change your area at the top of the page if you want.

The next page will show you all the places you can list on. When trying out a new place to list it is a good idea to check out some of the categories and get a feel for the place before listing your first item.

The listing process is very basic and the same as on Craigslist. The one difference is you can upload 8 pictures on Ebay Classifieds and 4 on Craigslist.

The rest of the listing process is the same and you have a page where you can manage your ads and relist or remove as needed. The one unique thing  Ebay Classifieds has is you can import your unsold items from Ebay . The only draw back at this point is you have to import them one at a time.

If you are looking for ways to sell items online for no fees Ebay Classifieds is a site you want to check out.

I would love to hear from anyone that has listed on Ebay Classifieds. I have listed a few things on there so far but haven’t had any sales.

Looks like eBay is really gearing up to compete with Craigslist – competition is good for us sellers, IMO!

  2. Wow, that is so great information you posted. I had no idea ebay was doing this. Love it! Craigslist has become a little scary. Ebay may get to that as well, but for now I am going to try it.

    Will definitely retweet your post.

    Warmly,
